The Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir is one of the most special wines of Bernardus. Why? This has everything to do with the origin of the grapes. This Single Vineyard wine comes from the most beautiful piece of land of Gary Franscioni. It is not without reason that he named this plot after his wife, Rosella. The vineyard is located in the rolling Santa Lucia Highlands on the Californian coast. Planted with the best quality Pinot Noir grapes and treated with an unparalleled passion and attention to detail. We can count ourselves lucky that we can produce a small amount of top wine from these grapes (Pisoni and 777 variety).

This Single Vineyard has an excellent terroir. The vineyard benefits from cool sea breezes and morning mist coming from Monterey Bay and has one of the longest growing seasons in North America. The sandy loam soil provides good drainage and deep roots and gives excellent finesse to the wines.

The selection of the right grapes is done carefully, each block is checked several times a week, after which each grape is hand-selected at the perfect ripeness level. The grapes are fermented separately and after pressing the wine matures for 10 months in the best French oak barrels.

The result is stunning. A lively Bordeaux red wine. Very pleasant bouquet of cherries, berries, oak, toast, currants and herbs. Satiny taste with ripe red fruit, oak, vanilla and a subtle spiciness in the soft full aftertaste. The ultimate limited edition wine for the enthusiast.
